It seems as though this market called "worship music" is ever expanding, with new voices and sounds. I am not
sure if this is a good thing or not, as the market is flooded with worship artist/leaders, worship bands, and ministries that
promote touring of said artists/bands.
With that said, Coldplay-like vocals meet with worship leanings to create a memorable disc from Moi. If just looking at
the musical side of this, there are a number of styles involved, from funk to rock to light jazz elements to Latin leanings.
All of it is absorbed into the overall solid package.
I suppose I am growing tired of marketing worshipping a living God. There is a disconnection for me here. I do not want
to take away from someone laying out heartfelt lyrics to God and being honest. I have been around the circle long enough though
to know tired clichés. It is easier to write spiritual praise and worship-oriented lyrics than to pour out transparently as
King David did in the Psalms. There were no record contracts in those days.
