I was listening to this in the background one day, and my wife commented, "Is that the guy from Creed?" I told her it was Kennebec. I hear some connection there, but not much.

This is straightforward hard, independent rock with Christ's blood worn on their sleeves. Unabashed lyrics with typical vocals for this style are the order for the day.

I own a bunch of hard rock, "Christian" and otherwise, from the 1990's, and their sound is not far removed. Not to say this is a bad thing. There is potential for development and rising above that genre. The genre of hard rock has been milked thoroughly, and it is difficult to create something unique in hard rock anymore.

I like their sound. The guitar alone had me hooked. Production and mixing could be tweaked though. Everything sounds too familiar. If Kennebec works hard at building a fan base through touring, we could be pleasantly surprised in a couple of years.
